I wish Amazon provided more information (preferably from a third party source) about the wood used in this product. I do not wish to contribute to deforestation of a tropical rainforest.

I buy a lot of products on amazon. com and I was very tempted to buy this chaise lounge until I realized that it was made out of kapur wood, which may or may not have been harvested in an ecologically friendly manner. I have not yet been able to speak with someone at amazon. com that can officially confirm that this wood was harvested from a tree plantation versus old growth rain forest but it seems unlikely that it is an eco-friendly product. At least go to the following website and read this information before you consider buying products made out of kapur wood.

We love it! the best present we could have asked for a wedding registry. we love it!!! Beautiful, strong and easy to assemble. . . well easy to understand but a little hard to screw until the end (my husband had to finish it for me and I generally have strong hands)
Found easily a cover for it at Target, so it fits the normal wooden chair standards.
Did I mention we love it???
