this game looked like great fun on tv so bought it. They are to be gifts so haven’t played yet. We love games so I think it will be a winner. Can’t give a fair rating yet though.

I was excited when I saw this advertised. I love Scrabble and I do pretty well at it. This just really was not much fun at all. If you want to try one of these card games, the Monopoly one was much more fun.

I was a little disappointed with this game. Not as fun or stimulating as I thought it was going to be. Can be confusing with the layout of the cards having letters on both sides. Can also be repetitive with players changing the same letters to make the same words over and over again. If wanting a word game, buyer is better off with original Scrabble, Boggle or Bananagrams.

A 5 to 8-year old can play this, especially if they can rhyme words, but a few cautions: They will try to invent words, so be ready to call them on it. If you let them pick the beginning word to start the game, it will probably be F-A-R-T or B-U-T-T. If the younger kids can’t think fast enough, or are having a hard time spelling, and they get frustrated by this, be prepared for the cards to be thrown across the room moments later with a “I Quit!”. This is one of those educational, character-building games.

I tutor kids with dyslexia and AD/HD and teach them phonics (Orton-Gillingham). I am always looking for ways to spice up a lesson. So far I haven’t found a kid who doesn’t like practicing vowel teams, silent-e and consonant blends using this game. I modify it and we take turns, and I help them make their words. This can be a very helpful educational game for kids and adults who need to practice their phonics skills!
