I decided to get a new credit card sometime ago and started searching for information online.

It was quite useful for me to see the credit cards I liked in direct comparison.
However – here comes my question – I am not sure if those pages are really secure!!

The only way to compare companies is to compare the total of all fees for the month and divide by your Visa/MasterCard/Discover sales (this is what your rate really is for the month). Include all fees for example; monthly minimum, gateway fees, internet transaction fees, batch fees, network fees, any fees from third party companies besides your processor.

I think the timing is the main thing. I think a crash is nearly inevitable but the scope is so big that it’s going to take time to unwind. I think it’s a fairly safe bet to say we are past peak oil and if that is the case, that is going to be the real crisis. We have created a society around an economy that needs to grow and that growth has been driven by ever increasing amounts of energy and when the day comes when supply starts to go down instead of up, the economy will really crash.
