I bought this for my one year old son. It’s gender neutral and he likes rattles and chewing is a big thing for him. But he actually didn’t take to it right off. Despite the fact that this set is for a baby, my toddler liked it more. The rabbit is a perfect doll size for little hands and it regularly has tea with all the barbie’s she’s recieved during the holidays. Plus she must be able to tell the difference in quality because she prefers it. The rattle in the rabbit and duck is too quiet to attract a one year olds attention for long. So my baby played with the box putting the items in and out over and over despite having other toys. So it wasn’t a complete loss as far as he was concerned. One year olds love to sort and the box is pretty and sturdy so that if I can ever wrestle it away it will make a great storage box. There is this huge myth that kids need lots of toys. It’s not true. You are better off buying your kids a few good quality items than lots of cheap toys. Kids like and value their toys more if they have less of them. I made the mistake of giving my first child lots of toys plus she was the first grandchild on both sides. She was inundated with gifts, too many choices aren’t good for a little mind (think, National happyness peaked in our country in the 50s when we didn’t have that many choices). She plays with almost none of her toys and doesn’t seem to value them at all. My one year old realizes that these are his toys and he only has a few, he values his toys and plays with them constantly. We have a stacker that my daughter never played with as a baby that saw so much use from our son that we had to get another one. It was stepped on one too many times and a piece went missing (I think it got accidently donated when we were giving away toys)so I bought another. It was convenient but of very poor quality, he didn’t like it as much as the other but still used it enough that we have since went threw it too. So I wised up and bought a wood one. The difference in play is astounding. You’d think I wouldn’t be able to tell a difference at all with a baby that’s one. But he will scold her in baby babble every time she plays with his toys or hurts his toys. He will crawl after her complaining the entire time! I see this item as being a good deal despite the fact that it isn’t big with him now because I think he will appreciate the blanket when he gets older (my daughter has a carebear blanket she recieved at 1 but she didn’t take to it till 2 yrs and she loves it still) the head on this one is a bit big for his age, size can be intimidating. Plus kids really don’t attach to tiny blankets unless its a pacifier issue but my kids have never had that problem. The ducky hasn’t been played with alot because he already has a teether he loves so much I had to buy another one that looks just like it for when its in the laundry basket. We call it Mr. Gnomey, its by under the nile, the baby buddy is its name I think. Cotton teethers are way better than plastic for chewing. You can’t really chew plastic, plus the chemicals eww. No BPA approved teether there, go organic cotton they will actually chew on it longer. Don’t use fabric softer and use a natural detergent and that way you can toss it in the washer. I think the duck would be popular if he didn’t love Mr Gnomey so much but he does use the duck ocassionally so I think he is warming up to it. He likes the ring shape. If your child doesn’t have Mr. Gnomey it might be worth the etire price just for the ducky. Sometimes baby’s need time to accept the change of new toys. Other times they don’t, like small wooden cars and wooden ABC blocks (they are hugely obsessed with both) th ducky might be one of those. I think this is good for toddlers 2-4 or older (kids of all ages love dolls), so I am giving it five stars because my very picky daughter loves it. Plus its a great price and its organic so I don’t have to worry about chemicals when he chews on it!

I bought this for my new cousin. Her mother is vegan and her father a vegitarian. They are big into earthy and organic things. They loved it and so did my cousin!

We received this gift set as a baby shower gift. Our 11-month-old son never had much interest in the duck, is showing growing interest in the bunny, but has totally fallen in love with the lamb blankie. I am now buying a second set so that we can have two lambs to make washing easier. The lamb goes through the washer and dryer very nicely–and ours has been “to the spa” quite a number of times already. Only wish this company sold the lamb separately, but I can give the duck and the bunny away as gifts.

I bought this as a gift for my cousin who is very “green”. It is a really well balanced gift set and the items are very well made and so cute! The items are smaller than they appear but really just the right size for an infant into early toddler years. A quality gift!
