		<description>Yes, you can use the Irish credit card. I have bought tons of things from ebay this way.  It might be better to get your friend to join ebay, so the name and credit card details match.  I don&#039;t have a credit card of my own, but use a family member&#039;s.  The surname and mine are the same, and also the address.

I doubt if I could buy something and use the details on someone else&#039;s card, where  the details were very different.  Such a card might be stolen, for example.

Another alternative is (if you are an ebay member) to use your debit card.  I think they accept UK debit cards, but not Irish ones.</description>
